Spring makes you look at your skin a little differently. The layers come off, the mirror gets more honest, and the calendar fills up with events, holidays and time outdoors. If your skin has felt tired over winter, this is the season to do something about it.
Here are the treatments our nurses most often recommend for a spring skin reset at Sunshine Coast Cosmetic Clinic. Your plan will depend on your skin, so not everyone needs all of them.
Pigmentation and melasma tend to flare with sun and heat, so it's easier to start a management plan in spring than to wait until summer has made it worse. At SCC, a plan usually combines professional chemical peels and LED light therapy. Rejuran may be included where it suits your skin. Your nurse will tailor the plan at a skin consultation. For skin that needs more than a gentle exfoliation, a Vitamin A Peel encourages cell turnover. Over time it can help with texture, congestion and early signs of ageing. Expect some flaking for a few days afterwards, and wear daily SPF50+. Starting now, before peak summer UV, gives your skin time to renew.
Skin needling stimulates your skin's own collagen production, so texture and tone improve gradually over the following weeks and months. An optional salmon exosome serum can be added during treatment. Ask your nurse whether it suits you. Expect redness and dryness for a few days, and take extra care with sun protection afterwards. That's why spring, before UV peaks in December and January, is a good time to start a course. Not sure whether needling or a peel suits you?

RF skin tightening stimulates collagen in the deeper layers of the skin over a course, typically 4–6 sessions a few weeks apart. Changes build gradually and usually start to show from around 6–8 weeks. Starting in spring means that change is developing as summer begins. Mild redness or warmth usually settles within a few hours.
The Korean Glass Facial (LHALA Peel) is a gentle, barrier-supporting peel that targets texture, dullness and congestion. A course is usually 3–4 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart, which makes it a good ongoing top-up through spring and summer. Mild redness or light flaking is possible.
A spring reset isn't about doing everything at once. Your nurse looks at your skin, your goals, your skincare and your calendar, then builds
a plan that makes sense. That might be one treatment, or a few spaced across the season.
Can I combine these treatments?
Often, yes, but they need to be spaced properly. Your nurse will set the order and the gaps.
Which has the least downtime?
The Korean Glass Facial and LED usually have the least. Skin needling and Vitamin A peels need a few days of recovery.
Can I spread the cost?
Skin Gym members put weekly wallet credit towards skin treatments. See Skin Gym.
